Plants Vs Zombies Review

The object of Plants vs. Zombies to keep zombies off your lawn. We don't want zombies on the lawn. Not only because the zombies will eat your brains for breakfast, it is unsightly for any lawn to have a zombie on it. It stinks and it looks ugly.

The reason why I like it is that it is made it a very light-hearted manner. There is no lengthy story line, no melodramatic scenes where you need to fight to protect the world and best of all, no actual towers that shoots fire and throw bombs or some mystical magic thingy that is simply overused. When people think about tower defense, the first thing that comes to mind is big mean towers raining down fireballs, unleashes dreadful lightning and this game breaks the mold by using plants, which is people can associate easily.

Another thing is that it is really creative. Who could have thought that a pea can ever destroy an able bodied zombie? The use and the attack pattern of the plants really makes sense. Not only that, the zombies are created in a very creative manner too. Basically, they are all the same zombies, but wearing and using different stuff, ranging from buckets which will make them 5 times tougher and ladders, allowing them to climb over obstacles. Zombies can even use themselves, as seen as the throwing of the Imp Zombie by the Gargantuar.

However, the bad thing I find about the game is that it is actually not challenging enough. Adventure mode is a breeze, once you know what you are doing and review the almanac regularly. Puzzle and survival are a bit more challenging than adventure but still very manageable. The endless games (vase breaking, survival, I zombie) are really endless and after playing a while, you will be too bored and lazy to play since there is nothing to look forward to. I think that the second play through of adventure mode should be made a lot harder than the first run through so that there is more re-playability of the game and something to look forward to.
